1994 | I finished my degree at Purdue, with a topic on learning and memory processes for text passages with examples. So, the chapter at Purdue is almost closed (I still am authoring a couple of papers with individuals there, so I have frequent contact). I started my position as asst. professor at Ball State University in the Department of Educational Psychology. I am enjoying my new position, and I am currently running down several research projects that I have not had the chance to publish, because I have been too busy collecting data in the past 3 years. | |
Reeshad Dalal | 1998 | His dissertation at the University of Illinois, Chapaign-Urbana, won the Seymour Sudman memorial award. It's an all-UIUC (i.e., any graduate student in any department at any of the campuses--Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, and Springfield--is eligible) award for excellence in survey research. Next Fall he will be joining the faculty at Purdue. | |

I’ve taught at various levels in several schools (Baltimore City Community
College, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Ferrum College,
University of Southern Indiana). I currently hold an Associate Professor of
Pediatrics position in the Emory University School of Medicine. My primary
role is to provide clinical teaching to graduate level psychology students
and postdoctoral fellows, and I coordinate training for the Marcus Autism
Center as a whole. Clinically, I serve as the Director of the

and am a licensed Social Worker. After working in child welfare,
specifically therapeutic foster care, for a number of years, I then
worked in Mental Health. I have had a, second child, moved out to
the “burbs” of Indianapolis, and am now in business for myself as a
consultant. My current clients include the Annie E. Casey Foundation and
the Information and Referral Network. I am still teaching undergrad.

1997 | After too many years, I have finally found my "calling". I am a Director for Community Relations for an assisted living home in Indianapolis (why did we not have a gerontology class at Hanover?)...I love the older individuals I work with, as well as their families, physicians, etc. I have been a leading volunteer for the Alzheimer's Association, and also an adult day care. |
