Just wanted to say hi and let you know that on 9/1/01 I took and passed my clinical social work exam, so I will soon be officially licensed as an LCSW.  I'm still at Counseling Associates, and I really love my job.

2008After much searching, a few "wrong" jobs, a lot of "bad" days, I have finally found a job utilizing my BA in Psych. I was contacted by Cincinnati Children's Hospital and offered a job working in their Behavioral Psych Unit in the Autism branch. I am working with doctors and children first hand and also participating in research the department is working on.

1987 After receiving my Masters Degree in I/O Psychology from Mississippi State University have now moved on to Denver, CO where I am Vice President of Human Resources for the Colorado Credit Union League, a trade association for credit unions in Colorado and Wyoming.  Serve both internal HR needs and as a consultant of sorts for credit unions on all HR subjects.

1994 I finished my degree at Purdue, with a topic on learning and memory processes for text passages with examples. So, the chapter at Purdue is almost closed (I still am authoring a couple of papers with individuals there, so I have frequent contact). I started my position as asst. professor at Ball State University in the Department of Educational Psychology. I am enjoying my new position, and I am currently running down several research projects that I have not had the chance to publish, because I have been too busy collecting data in the past 3 years.
Reeshad Dalal 1998 His dissertation at the University of Illinois, Chapaign-Urbana, won the Seymour Sudman memorial award. It's an all-UIUC (i.e., any graduate student in any department at any of the campuses--Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, and Springfield--is eligible) award for excellence in survey research.  He is now on the faculty at Purdue.

2003 I will complete requirements for a masters degree in mental health counseling at the University of Cincinnati this June. I was recently admitted to the doctoral program at UC in counselor education and supervision to begin in fall 2005! I had a wonderful experience in the psych dept. at Hanover and would love to hear from more grads of the class of 2003!

1993 I ended up getting my Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Indianapolis in 1998. I began practicing in upper extremity/orthopedic rehabilitation and received my hand therapist certification (CHT) in 2004. I worked for 12 years at the Indiana Hand Center but have recently relocated from Indy to Fort Worth, TX.

2001 Kirsten is currently (as of Spring, 2002) finishing up work as an Information Specialist at the National Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect Information.  She has been accepted to Boston College for a mental health counseling Masters program! She will most likely go for the 48 credit hour track, to get right into doctoral school.

1966 After Hanover, I attended The University of Georgia and earned a doctorate in biopsychology and have remained at North Georgia College and State University. I had several fraternity brothers who were psychology majors who have gone on to contribute in law, business, and psychology. Had a terrific experience at Hanover and particularly in psychology.

I am a 1992 graduate of Hanover.  I then received my MSW from IU and am a licensed Social Worker.  After working in child welfare, specifically therapeutic foster care, for a number of years, I then worked in Mental Health.  I have had a, second child, moved out to the “burbs” of Indianapolis, and am now in business for myself as a consultant. My current clients include the Annie E. Casey Foundation and the Information and Referral Network. I am still teaching undergrad. Social work courses part-time at Butler University.

I am a Family Specialist at Homes4Good, which is an adoption/foster care agency in Waco, Texas.  I place children in foster or adoptive homes.  All of the children I deal with were removed from their biological homes due to abuse or neglect, and most of these children are therapeutic.  I am responsible for recruiting, training and verifying foster or adoptive homes and coordinating the services of the children I place.

2000 Finally, after five years here in Georgia State University, I defended my dissertation: Motor Control and Reading Fluency: Contributions Beyond Phonological Awareness and Rapid Automatized Naming in Children with Reading Disabilities.  The whole process was...well never ending.  Still, the run up the mountain seems to have been worth it.  I'm staying on this year as a visiting lecturer at GSU while my fiancé finishes her degree.

1997 After too many years, I have finally found my "calling". I am a Director for Community Relations for an assisted living home in Indianapolis (why did we not have a gerontology class at Hanover?)...I love the older individuals I work with, as well as their families, physicians, etc. I have been a leading volunteer for the Alzheimer's Association, and also an adult day care.
